What is Team Bob?

Years ago, Bob got back into RC racing after a four-decade absence. He raced when he was a young kid in Florida visiting relatives and took up the sport again in his 50s.

Bob soon discovered there are a lot of “Teams” in RC racing. He asked his friend, Pete, how to join a team. Pete explained the nature of manufacturer team sponsorships. Realizing there was no chance that Bob’s skill would result in a sponsorship, Bob jokingly told Pete that he would have to form his own team.

Team Bob is not a company per se. There are no products (yet) or services. There is no social media. There is no official membership, no "club," no rules, etc.

We would like the name Team Bob to represent a feeling of belonging and comradery. By displaying Team Bob, you are letting others know that you adopt Team Bob's philosphy.

Ideally, people that display Team Bob:

• enjoy the sport of RC
• help others; and
• are good to one another.

So, if you want to join Team Bob, all you have to do is just tell others you are on Team Bob. That’s it. All are welcome.

If you want to go further, you can download the Team Bob logo (transparent background) and display it as you like, i.e. print a t-shirt, sweat shirt, hat, coffee mug, etc., to proudly display you being a team member. Or feel free to come up with your own Team Bob logo!

Where Does Bob Race?

Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Milwaukee, WI. Bob's not very good, so don't expect to see him on the podium anytime soon. But he loves the people and environment at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway.

Bob can be found outside tinkering with things or in his yard or on his street driving some of his favorite non-racing buggies and trucks, especially his childhood favorite, the Tamiya Superchamp (Fighting Buggy for you younger folks).
